Virginia Yerxa Community Read
Set in England’s Southern Downs, a once idyllic rural landscape, this stirring epic follows a band of rabbits on their flight from the intrusion of man and the certain destruction of their home to a mysterious promised land. Led by a resolute pair of friends, the journey from their native Sandleford Warren through harrowing trials posed by predators and adversaries is full of adventure, courage and survival. Don’t be fooled by the four-legged characters, this classic is filled with rich language and deep insight that will get you through the darkest days of winter and leave you excited for a new spring.
"I'd rather succeed in doing what we can than fail to do what we can't."
